  • Week #9 - Nekoosa 38, Westfield 12

Nekoosa completed the regular season with a 38-12 South Central Conference win over the Westfield Pioneers.  The Papermakers dominated play in this game, controlling the football with a strong rushing attack led by junior RB Tarek Tuttle.  Tuttle led all rushers with 228 yards on 22 carries.  Senior Aaron Peckham also enjoyed an outstanding game, carrying the football 30 times for 135 yards.  Not to be outdone, junior Sam Tweedie got into the act with 80 yards on only 5 carries for the Papermakers.

Nekoosa put up the only score of the 1st quarter when Tuttle finished a long drive with a 1 yard TD plunge.  Jose Lopez add the kick to give the Papermakers a 7-0 advantage.  Nekoosa add 3 more scores in the 2nd period on a Peckham 2 yard run, a 3 yard run by senior RB Clay Lieber, and a 19 yard dash by Tuttle.  The Papermakers led 28-6 at the half.  Tweedie added a 31 yard score from scrimmage in the 3rd quarter and Lopez a 35 yard FG in the 4th as Nekoosa coasted to their 2nd win of the season.
