Nekoosa 38, Westfield 12
Nekoosa
completed the regular season with a 38-12 South Central Conference win
over the Westfield
Pioneers. The Papermakers dominated play in this game,
controlling the football with a strong rushing attack led by junior RB
Tarek Tuttle. Tuttle led all rushers with 228
yards on 22 carries. Senior Aaron Peckham also enjoyed an
outstanding game, carrying the football 30 times for 135 yards.
Not to be outdone, junior Sam Tweedie got into the act with 80
yards on only 5 carries for the Papermakers.
Nekoosa put up the only score of the 1st quarter when Tuttle finished a
long drive with a 1 yard TD plunge. Jose Lopez add the kick to
give
the Papermakers a 7-0 advantage. Nekoosa add 3 more scores in the
2nd period on a Peckham 2 yard run, a 3 yard run by senior RB Clay
Lieber, and a 19 yard dash by Tuttle. The Papermakers led 28-6 at
the half. Tweedie added a 31 yard score from scrimmage in the 3rd
quarter and Lopez a 35 yard FG in the 4th as Nekoosa coasted to their
2nd win of the season.

Friday, October 24th. Game time is 7 PM.

Football can be viewed on River Cities Community Access throughout the
season. Games will be air on Mondays' at 6 PM, Wednesday
afternoons, and Saturday afternoons, with Tom Kirst, Dan Schmidt, and
Jim Allen providing the broadcast. All games will also be
available on YouTube for on-demand viewing.
